NEW EYES FOR ART: Introducing Ah Leon and Dan Reynolds
Wednesday, April 6, from 6 to 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for March 23)
Nancy Davidson, a Camillus resident and docent at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, will give
a multimedia presentation about two exhibits opening at the Everson March 12: Memories of
Elementary School, by Taiwanese ceramicist Ah Leon; and Reynolds Unwrapped, the cartoon art of
Brewerton resident Dan Reynolds. Perhaps you’ll have already seen the exhibits and would like
further insights, or maybe you’d like a grasp on the artists and works before you go. This session
continues a new series of talks at Maxwell on special exhibits at the Everson.

Download Users Group
Wednesdays, April 13, 20 and 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. Free.
There are so many things to download these days! Here at Maxwell, we offer downloadable
audiobooks, e-books, and music, from both the OCPL digital catalog and the Freegal Music service.
In addition, we have purchased two e-readers to use in the library. To help all of us get up to speed
with these new formats, we created this informal group to teach each other as we go. If you have
experience in any of these formats, please come to share with those who have little or different
experience. Let’s master this digital universe together! If you bring an MP3 player, smart phone or
your own e-reader, please also bring any cords necessary for downloading from a computer.
What's New? E-readers!
The library has purchased two e-readers, an Amazon Kindle and a Barnes & Noble Nook. The plan,
eventually, is to circulate them to Maxwell adult patrons with accounts in good standing. For the
Kindle, we will purchase and download the most popular titles, giving broader access to those high-
demand books. The Nook is able to download purchased books as well as ebooks checked out from
OCPL’s digital catalog. Beginning April 18 we will have these e-readers available for in-library use.
